Local 1033 E-Board Has Failed the Membership
MFC IS FULLY AWARE THAT ROEDER SUPPRESSES THE E-BOARD WITH RANTS AND RAVES OF THREATS AND INTIMIDATION TO KEEP BOARD MEMBERS SILENT AND CATERING TO HER WHIMS.
MFC APPEALS TO THIS E-BOARD TO JOIN US IN STANDING AGAINST ROEDER’S REPRESSIVE CENSORIAL CONTROL AND DEMANDING THIS LOCAL BE BROUGHT INTO COMPLIANCE WITH THE CWA CONSTITUTION AND LOCAL BYLAWS FOR THE GOOD OF THE MEMBERSHIP AND CONTINUED EXISTENCE OF THIS LOCAL.
WE MUST GET OUR HOUSE IN ORDER BEFORE WE CAN LEGITIMATELY DEMAND ANYTHING FROM THE GOVERNOR AND ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER.
AN INFLATABLE RAT IS NOT THE ANSWER. WE MUST BE MUCH MORE PROGRESSIVE TO DEFEND OUR MEMBERS. IF ANY BOARD MEMBER BELIEVES OTHERWISE, THAT BOARD MEMBER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

Education (lower, not higher)
Degree Sought: Unionism-NOT:
Course Elective: The Fear Factor
Instructor: Rae Roeder, tenured, Local 1033.
Amazing, almost unbelievable, that an entire EBoard is afraid of Rae Roeder. Despite an absolutely shocking drunken parody (showtime? New York) by a so-called ‘Staff’ member (a disgraced, thieving ex-State employee), not one EBoard member was sufficiently incensed or humiliated to call this woman (and Roeder’s subsequent support of her) to task. So many people are aware of the public humiliation that the story may well have appeared in the papers! Perhaps, instead, it will appear in an Editorial in a local paper.
I yearn for the days of true civil disobedience, and the days when unionism counted for something. Local 1033, under Rae Roeder, insults true brother and sisterhood every single day. Her staff complains about her privately but are afraid of losing their jobs if they confront her.
THESE are NOT the people we want to work on our behalf..
We want strength, integrity and guts.
Any takers on the EBoard? Any REAL union people?!
In Solidarity,

In discussion with another union representative (thankfully not affiliated with 1033), I was asked if I planned on attending the rally this weekend.
Bearing in mind that, like so many other under-paid and undervalued MVC employees (I speak here of Agency personnel and affiliates only, not the big dawgs) I must WORK this Saturday, Nonetheless, I answered in the affirmative.
However, I will NOT attach myself to 1033. I will attach myself instead to those with whom I feel a kinship: my other union and other Local brothers and sisters …who will be present in full force. They, unlike 1033 members, won’t be expecting a turkey sandwich to placate them into attending.
Solidarity with the true union!
